It’s amazing what you can see with your ears. The Association of Music Producers (AMP) was founded in 1997 for the purpose of educating its members, as well as the production, advertising and media communities, on all facets of music production, from creation to final use.
AMP was formed to address the common goals and concerns of those who make the music. A national organization with chapters in New York, Los Angeles and member representation in Detroit, Chicago, Dallas, Nashville, Portland, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Baltimore, Charleston, Stratford, Connecticut and Allston, Massachusetts, AMP has made itself heard across the U.S.
From business matters such as production guidelines, composer royalties and Music Rights Agreements to educational seminars, fund-raising events and the industry’s most respected celebration of excellence - The AMP Awards - AMP has turned up the volume on the things that matter most.
This is a time in our cultural history when music and sound have an unprecedented impact—in film, television, fashion, and in places where music never went before—from desktops to smart phones. In taking the pulse of this expanded world of instant access AMP has raised the bar, raised awareness and opened the industry’s ears.
We hope you’ll join us and place your name among the AMP members in our premier online directory!
