Network. Knowledge. Power. AMP.

AMP is an organization of industry professionals dedicated to improving the business environment for music & sound creation and curation. It is the only professional trade association that deals directly with music and sound for advertising as well as sponsored entertainment and sonic branding.

The single most valuable benefit to membership:

The connection we have to each other as an industry...there is strength in numbers.

In a highly competitive environment, why should you dedicate time to an trade organization like the Association of Music Producers (AMP)?

Membership keeps business owners on top of important, ever-changing issues, trends and legislation within their marketplace.  AMP is the only professional trade association that deals directly with music and sound for advertising, sponsored entertainment and sonic branding.

AMP consistently advocates on behalf of its members for transparency and fair business practices across the industry.  So an individual company never needs to feel the burden of fighting an issue alone. There is strength in numbers.

One of the greatest advantages to being part of the AMP community is the connection we have to each other as an industry.  AMP is a unique opportunity to sit with your competitors and collaborate together for the benefit of our industry.   The networking and camaraderie that takes place among members is an invaluable asset.

AMP local chapters and committees offer opportunities to be active participants in our community:

The Performing Rights Committee advocates for our members in conversations with ASCAP, BMI, and SESAC.  Currently AMP’s PRO Committee has focused its efforts on the challenges of composer and publisher royalty collections for pre/mid/post-roll online advertising.

The AMP Awards Committee is focused on our annual celebration of music and sound for the advertising and marketing industries.  Committee members help with planning and production needs leading up to event, including review of award categories, promotion of the show, and soliciting sponsorship and talent/performers for the event.

The Education Committee plans and produces local panels, speakers, and seminars in order to keep our members informed and up-to-date on everything from budget planning, copyright infringement and other legal concerns, to production logistics and creative challenges.

The Events Committee fosters AMP’s sense of community by planning various mixers, concerts, and “field-trips” throughout the year.
